It may not be an easy job, but it will be really
satisfying...
The more energy and time you spend
on birthing your drum in a dedicated way,
the easier and more natural a true bond
grows
between you and your drum.
Your shamandrum becomes like it were part of you already.
COURSES & INDIVIDUAL
The courses are being given to
small groups with a maximum of three persons. You can take part
into a scheduled workshop or maybe arrange one yourself
with some friends.
When you wish to come on an individual base or
when there is no course scheduled at the time, feel free
to contact us and we will make a plan together.
What will you be doing?
We will guide you through the
process of making your drum, which will take a minimum of
two separated days.
Due to the dryingtime of the skin, a good handcrafted
drum with a suitable beater one can not make in one
weekend...
Preceding to the first meeting
comes all the preparation...
sanding your drumframe and rub it
with oil.
This you can do at our place or at home.
The frame itself will be constructed already.
Fleshing the skin
is an additional option and will be
done at our place.
The first meeting you are going to
put your drum together:
The marriage between skin and drumframe:
it's the birthday of your personal drum!
The second meeting you will be making your drumstick
and put the finishing touch to your drum.
Cost: depending
on the choosen skin and wood:
190 - 250 € for a singleheaded shamansdrum,
a twoheaded shamandrum starts at 240 €
.
